About Ann Stewart - Scottish Tourist Guide
Hello, I’m Ann Stewart and I’d love to show you the best of Scotland. I’m very proud of my home country and I’m really lucky to have the best of both worlds: though born and bred in the city of Glasgow, I grew up surrounded by Gaelic culture and still have strong family connections to the Island of Islay in the Inner Hebrides on Scotland’s beautiful western seaboard.
I know my way around Scotland - city, countryside and culture. (In short: I’m the real deal!) Formerly, I was a geography teacher - and I have a special affection for Scotland’s landscapes in all their variety. So, I have escaped the classroom to create tours that are fun and entertaining.

By the way, you know that the Island of Islay is famous for its malt whiskies? My Gaelic speaking granny from Islay once told me to be careful because ‘I had whisky in my blood’. (Whatever did she mean?) With this in mind I thought I should get a ‘Whisky Trail’ qualification as well.
Add that to my knowledge of history, city shopping, architecture and industrial heritage - plus out of doors themes and off the beaten track locations - and I’m sure I’ve got Scotland covered. With Glasgow as my base, I’m ideally placed for tours to Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and Stirling and Argyllshire. all important and popular places in the story of Scotland.

I can also plan tailor-made itineraries for you or your clients. Simply contact me and I will be delighted to create your special trip!
Finally, perhaps it’s that teaching thing, but I always prepare and plan my tours thoroughly, with a close attention to detail, to ensure my clients make the
most of their time. As a city girl whose heart is in the islands and countryside , I put together Informative, knowledgeable and fun itineraries. I aim to be the best of ambassadors for Scotland and look forward to meeting you.
